Attempting to conceal under eye circles with Garnier
Before I start my review, I want to note that I only recently started concealing my under eye area, and I only do it when I really feel the need. I have a few fine lines under my eye area that I hated putting product on, because it always seemed to just emphasize them or look cakey. After doing some research I've learned that the consistency of the product is really what makes a difference, and covering up dark circles makes a huge difference! So much so that I've been more interested in seeing what works.
Garnier first came out with the 'eye roller' idea awhile ago, but it was an anti-puffiness moisturizer that didn't contain any tint. I've heard that this makes for a good concealer, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I got mine for $13.99 at Walgreens.
From Ulta.com (I thought this explained better what it's supposed to do that the description from Garnier):

Well, since I highly doubted its ability to minimize dark circles, I mainly tested this as a concealer.
Starting with the shade: I'm about an NC20 in MAC, and this is a pretty good match for me if not a little yellow. I find the yellow undertones help cancel out shadows under eyes. I'd say this shade would work for you if you're around NC15-NC30 in MAC.

The consistency is thin and runny, and blends into my skin quickly. This makes it easy to apply using the rollerball. It doesn't feel heavy or cling to fine lines (of which I have a few directly under my eyes...WHY!). Now... does it conceal?
1. is my bare eye
2. is the product "rolled" underneath
3. is the product blended out
4. is after applying powder (using Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Pebbles)
Personally, I don't feel like this does much in terms of really correcting any under eye problems. The best part is that it doesn't emphasize or cling to my little lines. I suppose my eyes look a little brighter in the 3rd and 4th pictures, but I probably wouldn't be able to tell on someone else.
I also don't think this conceals better or even as well as others that I've used- Maybelline Dream Mousse concealer (post on this coming shortly), Maybelline Age Rewind Double Face Perfector concealer, to name a few.
Overall, I would say stick to your regular under eye concealer of choice- this one seems to be mostly gimmick and hype. I've read a few reviews from girls that said it worked for them, but unfortunately I can't recommend it based on my results.

E.L.F Cosmetics Order!

So last Sunday I ordered from e.l.f Cosmetics when they had a sale. If you spent $25.00 you got 10 free mineral eyeshadows! So of course I ordered. The eyshadows are $3.00/piece so $30.00 for free! Can't beat it.
Personally I feel the e.l.f can be deceiving with their packaging because it looks a little on the "cheap" side so automatically you think, oh these products must be terrible, but I honestly love them!

Mature mom on the go!
Today I was shopping at Target and I was walking behind the cutest lady! She was probably around my mother's age and I was just so impressed at how nice she looked so I decided to re-create her outfit for you ladies that are 40 and up! (It would be cute for younger ladies too).
Start with a top similar to this one from J.Crew
Put with a cute pair of walking shorts
Use a belt to sinch in the smallest part of your waist! This is the key to making this outfit as cute as possible.
Try to find a wedge that is not too tall or just find a cute flat sandal.
Try a straw bag for some added texture.
Add a fun bracelet or necklace or earrings.Now for makeup:

If you like foundation try out a spray foundation... Carmindy from What Not to Wear makes one too (see in a previous post) or just go to Sephora or your favorite makeup counter. If you are not a huge foundation fan, grab a bare minerals powder or matte foundation.
Find a soft eye shadow palette, this one is great because it has two colors and a highlight.
Believe it or not but most of us look great with a bright blush as long as it is sheer. I use a blush similar to this color every day and it does not look this bright but it really livens up my face.
It is important to find a mascara that best accentuates your eyelashes! (Or find somebody who does eyelash extenstions). I am going to get certified soon!!
Lastly, find a couple of shades of lipstick and gloss that look good on you so you don't look exactly the same every day and you are not in a rut!Now for the hair:
A lot of moms prefer really short hair and this is still so feminine and cute! The most maintence would be training your bangs and possibly flat ironing a few pieces of your hair.If you prefer a bit longer hair:

I love Redken's All Soft line, it is especially great if you color treat your hair or your hair is slightly-medium damaged. If you color your hair dark or red I would highly reccommed:
The Color Extend line, it really extends the life of your color!
