How I store my Nail Polishes

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Hi girls!!

I was asked a long time ago to show how I store my nail polishes. but I completely forgot about it, and today I remembered so I decided to do it.
I store my nail polises in one drawer, so they are away from sunlight, and they will not dry as fast.
I bought a little box with compartments from IKEA which cost me £13.27, and I think it is perfect for my needs, and fits all my nail polishes and more as my nail polish colection tends to grow almost every week!
I'll leave you some pictures so you can have an idea on how it all looks.

XOXO

XOXO

Barry M Dusky Mauve

Monday, February 21, 2011

As soon as this Nail Polish came out, I bought it, as it is the perfect dupe for Chanel's Paradoxal, this was back in October/November.
Yesterday, I remember I had it, I don't know how could I have forgotten about this nail polish!!!
It has such as gorgeous colour, when the light hits has an amazing sparkle, I love it. It has to be my favourite nail polish of the moment.
This pictures don't do it justice, I will take more tomorrow and post it here, when its day light.
So easy to apply, so smooth, silky, gorgeous.

Paradoxal vs Dusky Mauve

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Chanel's Paradoxal is a great colour for the winter, I wanted to get it as soon as I saw it, the only problem was the price, so I had to wait for a cheaper version to come to the market. Barry M's Dusky Mauve certainly doesn't disappoint, there is barely any difference to the Paradoxal. So it is certainly a great addition to any nail polish collection. I am most certainly going to get it next time nail polish shopping, and at £2.99 is not going to break the bank, who doesn't like a good bargain?

Some new things..

Sunday, October 3, 2010

I can't help it. I go into a shop and I am content. I buy something I like and I become happier. After a few days this feeling fades and the process has to be repeated again. Some call this addiction. I call it therapy.

College helps. I have too much to do to spend my time wandering around shops deliberating over my next purchase, this brings a small amount of comfort to my friends and family. But the weekends, after I have read a play or two I think I deserve a treat. And this weekend was no exception.

Here are a few things I have bought over the past few weekends:

Primark Skirt (in black and grey): 6euro/£4 and Black leggings (same material): 9euro/£7

Mink Longline Tie Neck Shirt: 30rueo/£25 and Penneys/Primark Black lace shorts:13euro/£10

Urban Decay Naked Pallette (my sister finally got it for me! in love..)

Art of Love Temporary Tattoos from Urban Outfitters on sale for 5euro. Complete copy of the Chanel ones but I'm not complaining!

MAC Nocturnelle Eyeshadow and Coffee Eyeliner

Barry M Dazzle Dusts in: (L-R) Mushroom (51), Winter Berry (88) and Burgundy Noir (102)

Not sure I like Winter Berry and Burgundy Noir, might give them away can't see myself ever using them as their so colourful but I was on a roll with spending!

Mini Haul 2.0

Sunday, August 22, 2010

I did it again. I'm sorry - I really have to stop. And I will. Soon.

Actually I'm going to Madrid very soon with a few of the girls just before we go back to college, and I've made a promise to myself (and my mother!) that I will refrain from buying anything until I hit sunny Spain. Duty Free not included of course.

I've obtained an obsession with mens clothes and accessories in the last few weeks, and was looking for weeks to find a woman's version of a flowing shirt top, with no luck. Me and my friend happened upon River Island and wandered into the mens section. Instant happiness! I found the top I was looking for and a beanie hat (I have a major obsession with these, but always lose them!). Size XS in the male section works a treat and actually has a shape, I thought it would just be baggy!

Then I finally got my little mitts on MAC's Painterly Paint Pot, which I've wanted for ages! I've been using it for the past few days and love it, it really keeps my eyeshadow on longer. Does anyone know of any other uses for it?

Claire's Accessories was the next port of call where I got a purple nail varnish and a sweet ring. And then, of course, no Julie Haul would be complete without a trip to Barry M! I bought Barry M Mushroom 310, Bright Purple 303 and Vivid Purple 161. Because I bought these, I got a 7.50euro voucher off No7 products. I always get these and never use them, but I was in a spending mood so got a gold eyeliner.

That morning my package from Dolly Bow Bow was delivered. I got the Telephone necklace. Love it. It came in the cute pink drawstring bag and is beautiful. You can check out the site here.

mini haul..

Sunday, August 15, 2010

I did a bit of shopping over the last week in MAC, Eyeko and Barry M. I ordered the Eyeko from their website because you can't get the products here. The package ( yep, another one!) arrived really quickly and the packaging was adorable. I will be doing a review of the Eyeko mascara in a few days, when I've used the product for long enough. I've found my neutral nail varnish for the winter, Posh Polish. Move over Essie Mink Muffs, you have been replaced.

I also got two Barry M Dazzle Dusts, usually pots of eyeshadow scare me because I usually drop them everywhere and their so so messy. But I decided, feck it, I'll get these. I got dd53 Chocolate and dd98 Petrol Black. I'm so excited about Petrol Black, its amazing and has flecks of blue, purple, green in it. Love it. Apart from the fact that their really messy, I think I'll invest in a few more of these.

.

And, finally, I got two lipsticks in MAC. One was part of Back To MAC, so it didn't come with a box (does anyone know why this is?!) I love the packaging and I keep all my MAC lipsticks in their boxes..I really really wanted to get Painterly Paint Pot but its sold out in all the MAC counters near me. Sob. Anyways, back to the lipsticks, I got Creme Cup and Angel. They look the same in the picture, but Creme Cup has a more nude/peach tone while Angel has a pinker tone. Love them. I'm in love with everything at the moment.. What products are you loving?

L-R- Angel, Creme Cup
