She doesn't mention it in the video but another important thing to remember, especially for the summer, is sunscreen. I know most of us know this and we've probably already heard it at least a dozen times since the unofficial start of the summer season. Sunscreen is so important though at prevent skin cancer and pre-mature aging.

AVEENO Active Naturals products, take the pledge to be an Active Natural

AVEENO has a whole line of Active Naturals products. AVEENO's newest line uses active ingredients found in nature to care for and protect your skin.

If you really sit down and read about everything we put our skin through, it's amazing how well it holds up: UV rays, harsh cold, air pollution, even sometimes our cosmetics.

As an AVEENO ambassador I had the opportunity to try some of the products in AVEENO's Active Naturals line.

AVEENO smart essentials uses the active natural, southernwood.  The natural combination of saccharides and polyphenols help attract and bind water to the skin and improves antioxidant activity.  Then vitamins A,C, andE and humectants help my conditioning and nourishing the skin.

I received the AVEENO smart essentials pore purifying facial wash, daily detoxifying scrub, nighttime moisture infusion, and daily nourishing moisturizer.

I washed my skin day and night with the smart essentials pore purifying wash.  It was very gentle on my skin.  I followed that with using the daily detoxifying scrub once a day, usually at night.  One thing I liked about this scrub was that the polishing beads in the scrub were not abrasive for my skin.  I have sensitive skin and some scrubs are often too abrasive for me.  I would follow my cleansing routine up with the daily nourishing moisturizer in the morning.  It has SPF 30 which was really nice too.  Did you know you should use sunscreen even on over cast days?   Although you can't see the sun, the UV rays are still present.  Finally the nighttime moisture infusion.  It made my skin so dewy soft without feeling greasy.

My husband commented on the scent.  He was sniffing my face and said "mmm you smell good" lol.  I told him it was the AVEENO products I was using.  Also, AVEENO uses responsible packaging for these products.

They also have sunscreen with Active Naturals using the benefits of natural lotus complex. These products use "Mineralblock Technology" using natural titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.  AVEENO sunblocs maintain their protection after 80 minutes of activity including swimming and perspiring.  AVEENO active naturals sunblock include those for baby as well as adults.

Last but not least I received the AVEENO Active Naturals Living Color shampoo and conditioner. They're color preserving hair care items using the active natural Lupine.

Lupine has been scientifically shown to seal the hair cuticle. This helps to seal in color and retain moisture in your hair.  This product claims to prevent almost 80% of hair breakage in just one use.

I love the scent of the product too.  It's a light botanical scent that smells clean.  I love the conditioner.  It's a thicker consistency and seemed to coat my long hair alot better than some conditioners.
