New product alert: EOS hand cream and body lotion!

Saturday, March 26, 2011

Love it or hate it, everyone's heard of eos (evolution of smooth) because of their cute little sphere lip balms. Although their lip balms aren't quite moisturizing enough for me, I've been thrilled at the brand's concept since they first came out - they're natural, organic, paraben-free, and have really cool packaging - not to mention they're downright cheap compared to other natural brands! For months they only had the lip balm and shave cream, but now they've introduced two new products to their line: hand cream and body lotion.

The products have been buzzed about in magazines for a while now, but it was only last week when I saw them for the first time in person!

The hand lotion is 97% natural, free of parabens, pthalates, lanolins and dyes. The above photo only shows the "nourish" hand lotion with blue packaging, but there is also a "refresh" one with green packaging that contains cucumber extract and is cucumber scented. It retails in their online shop for $3.99, but Walmart had it for $3.27.

The body lotion comes in three types: nourish (revitalizing care for normal to dry skin), active (refreshing care for normal to dry skin), boost (for dry to extra dry skin). They are also 90-97% natural, free of parabens, pthalates, lanolins and dyes.

The "boost" lotion contains both mineral oil and petrolatum (that is the 90% natural one), while the other two do not contain petrochemicals. All retail for $7.99 in their online shop, but were only $6.97 at Walmart.

I'm currently inundated with body lotions and it would be silly to buy any more before I use up some of what I have, so I'll wait until I can get a good deal on these before trying them - but I will definitely look forward to it!

Geo Ck-109 & EOS Candy Jewel Grey Review

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Hello! I am back as promised with reviews although a little late~~ I wasn't able to review all my lenses today >< but I'll finish up another day and with more pictures perhaps! Also I was rushing since my model was coming over to help me out with the clothes I'm selling!First off~ Geo Ck-109

So when I bought these I was looking for a natural lens that isn't too weird. I bought I believe BC-102 which was brown and it looked a bit obvious even though it was meant to be natural. Also it was a little bit orangey in photos? That is why this time I aimed for black!

These lens didn't disappoint me at all! It was indeed natural even though I could still tell I have lens on. The size of this lens is 14mm so it isn't that big. It was also more comfortable then the BC-102 lens I got. I could tell I had lens on but it wasn't bad =D!! Overall, I like it!! If it was like extremely comfortable I would love to wear it really often but I don't trust this lense to not dry out on me ^^"~

RATINGS:

Appearance: 4/10 Because it is quite natural!
Enlargement: 7/10 It is still enlargening but not the most!
Comfort: 8/10 I can still feel the lenses at times
Overall: I wanted natural lense~so I would rate this 9/10

EOS CANDY JEWEL GREY

This lense freaked me out when I first put it on! It was sooo vibrant and very anime like. Pretty fake! But I love the color!! It's wierd because this lense looks better in real life compared to pictures or video. They were also comfortable~I think they felt more comfortable then the CK-109! Too bad I wouldn't wear this on a daily basis. I might wear this with more dramatic makeup since it doesn't look as nice with less makeup in my opinion...or at least on me!

Also this is very enlargening~~I think it was 14.8 mm?? I'm not sure..but yeah the ring was quite big! There are larger lenses out there so this one wasn't that bad. For sure it is good for cosplay and quite doll like.

RATINGS:

Appearance: 10/10 EXTREMELY VIBRANT!!
Comfort: 10/10 I barely felt them~~
Enlargement: 9/10 since there are bigger lenses out there but this gives a good
effect!
Overall: 10/10

Yeah my only complaint is if it looked better in photos as well =/ since I &hearts camwhoring!!

The eyelashes I bought~They weren't as dramatic as I thought and I don't like the material..the lash line is kind of hard so it makes it difficult to put on =[

eos-evolution of smooth Review and Giveaway--CLOSED

Monday, June 21, 2010

About 2 years ago, I was fortunate enough to come across a sample of eos smooth spheres lip balm. Since then eos lip balm has been my choice when buying lip balm.  It goes on smooth, last a long time, and has been the only lip balm that actually seems to help my constantly dry lips.  The cute sphere shaped packaging is also smooth.  eos balms are 95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free. Each  eos lip balm contains shea butter and vitamin E and smooths on clear.  eos smooth spheres lip balm comes in Sweet Mint, Summer Fruit, Honeysuckle Honeydew, and new Lemon Drop with spf 15.

About eos lip balms and available flavors

eos is evolution of smooth.  I recently saw that eos was now offering shave creams.  I thought, "if their shaving creams work even half as well as their lip balms, I'll be buying a new shave cream.:

eos was kind enough to send me a full size bottle of their shave cream to try and review on my blog.  It's really neat how they keep true to the "evolution of smooth" Even their packaging is smooth.  This includes the eos shave cream bottles.  I chose to review the Lavendar Jasmine scented shave cream.  After noticing the smoothness of the bottle the second thing I noticed was the pump.  It is made something like a hand soap pump.

I was also excited to see that you can use this cream wet or dry!  Ladies you now how great that can be when you need to shave in a hurry.  I pumped a little onto my leg.  The shaving cream was so smooth.  It reminded me of the consistency of a whipped body butter.  My razor slid over my legs with ease.  The light scent of the Lavendar Jasmine was so relaxing and pretty.

I tried eos shaving cream both wet and dry.  It worked well both ways.  My legs felt quenched after shaving.  Almost like I had applied lotion.  That may be because it contains aloe and shea butter as well.  It also worked well for other areas like under arms, etc.

eos shave creams are available in Pomegranate Raspberry, Lavendar Jasmine, Island Blue, Cucumber Melon, Vanilla Bliss, and Sensitive (fragrance free). All contain vitamins E and C.

The shave cream bottles are recyclable.  Read more about eos shave creams here: More about eos shave cream
