Review: Whirl-A-Style

Sunday, October 24, 2010

As I've mentioned in a few of my hair related post, I can't do anything with my hair. I'm honestly, lucky if I can get my hair into a straight pony tail. I like my hair long but working in a hospital requires me to put my hair up. (You never know what your hair might get into, yuck).

I was granted the opportunity to review "Whirl-A-Style".   There are different sizes of the Whirl-A-Style depending on your hair length, to help you create the perfect bun and other cool hair styles.

One of the reasons I get so frustrated with my hair is that nothing seems to want to stay in it.  My hair is straight and thick.  Hair bands, head bands without teeth, clips, etc all seem to just slide right out of my hair.  Curls never stay even with hair spray.  I loved the fact that the "Whirl-A-Style" is made with a flexible rubber.  It has an easy to use pop in snap that's easy to fasten without seeing it.

I used it to put my hair up for work.  This was my first attempt at using the Whirl-A-Style and as I mentioned my hair styling skills are minimal at best.

I know it's not the best job I could have done.  I think perhaps I should have done with a smaller "Whirl-A-Style" The problem I ran into was that, the last time I had my hair cut, I did one of those hair cuts where it's shorter in the back and long and angled toward the front.  What I can say is that my hair stayed up all day at work.  It didn't even slip a little bit.  It was very easy to use.

I had my friend try it then.  Her hair is much longer than mine.  I wanted to see how it would like using the Whirl-A-Style I received on a more appropriate hair length.  Her's turned out much cuter.

Review Summary:  The Whirl-A-Style works great if you ensure you buy the correct size.  I love the fact that it's made of flexible rubber.  It keeps it from slipping and is also comfortable to wear.
