Free bowling for kids for the summer from AMF bowling centers
Tuesday, May 24, 2011
My boys have brought home information about this from school. I think this is a really great program that AMF bowling centers offer. I realize kids like playing outside when the weathers nice, as they should, but what about on those rainy days. Or how about when the luster of summer break starts to wear off in July and you start hearing that dreaded phrase: "I'm bored there's nothing to do."
We actually tried this program out one summer. AMF Bowling Centers are offering 2 free games of bowling a DAY from Monday May 30 (Memorial Day) until Monday Sept. 5 (Labor Day). Now this doesn't include shoe rentals. I can tell you that at my local bowling center it's $2.25 to rent a pair of shoes but this may vary with different areas.
Here's a tip too. If you think you're kids are actually going to want to go even once a week you may be better off buying a pair of bowling shoes. I just did search on ebay for kids' bowling shoes and most were under $30 and some had free shipping.
Think about it, it's rainy and dreary. All the kids want to do is sit in front of the tv. Gather 'em up and say "ok kids let's go bowling."
So what about mom and dad? Don't worry. They have some good deals for us too. For families of kids that register for the free bowling a family can make a one time payment of $27.95 and that buys you 2 games per day all summer long for 4 people! It's called the AMF Super 17 Plus Pass. (for anyone over the age of 17).
AMF also offers kids combo meals all summer for only $2.99.
So how do you get in on the free bowling for your kids? Go to: http://freebowling.amf.com/ select the bowling location nearest you (there are over 200 participating locations) and register. They will email you a new coupon every Sunday for that week for your free games. Free bowling for kids is available 7 days a week until 8:00 PM every night. You can also purchase the AMF Super 17 Plus Pass through that link.
Visit AMF's facebook page to vote on a pin decorating contest. AMF will donate 25 cents per vote (up to $10.000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

AMF even has their own Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/AMFStrike
**This is a posting from info I received as a member of the One 2 One network. I've personally taken advantage of this deal in the past and know my family really enjoyed it. I did not receive any compensation for this post but do have a chance at winning gift cards and other prizes for posting**
